DALLAS, Texas – The St. Mary's STUNT team ended its first tournament on a high note, defeating UT-Tyler 17-4 to wrap up the DBU Invitational on Sunday.

The Rattlers (1-3) jumped out early, winning all four points during the partner stunts of the first quarter.

After the quarter break, StMU and UTT tied in the first routine featuring pyramids and tosses before the Rattlers scored the next two to enter halftime up 7-1.

The Gold & Blue kept things rolling winning two of the three points awarded in group jumps and tumbling.

In the final period, the Rattlers distanced themselves from the Patriot, winning eight of the 10 points awarded by the judges for the 17-4 final.Â

St. Mary's competes at the Oklahoma City Tournament March 3-4. The location of that tournament has been changed to Brink Junior HS in Oklahoma City due to flooding at OCU.
