WICHITA FALLS, Texas — Five St. Mary's University Men's Soccer players were honored tonight at the Lone Star Conference pre-championship banquet.

Both sophomore midfielder
Adam Aboohamidi (Wolfforth, Texas) and senior forward
Cian Foley (Wexford, Ireland) were honored on the Lone Star All-Conference Second-Team, while freshman forward
Gael Gallegos (Laredo, Texas) earned a spot on both the Third-Team and the All-Freshman squad.
Avery Estell, a freshman defender from Flower Mound, Texas joined Gallegos on the All-Freshman team.

Foley and fellow senior
Dani Gimena (Ondara, Alicante, Spain) were also named to the All-Academic team.

Aboohamidi missed a portion of the season due to injury but made an impact in the 11 games in which he played, scoring two goals and posting nine of his 12 shots on goal.

Foley was not only a main offensive weapon for the Rattlers, but also a vocal leader on the pitch. He started all 19 games, scoring nine goals and adding six assists for a team-best 24 goals. He ranks second in the league with four game-winning goals and ranks among the nation's leaders after making all five of his penalty kicks.

Gallegos provided a spark for the Gold and Blue, scoring five goals with two assists. He led the team with 18 shots on goal and made his lone penalty kick. Estell joined Gallegos on the All-Freshman team after playing in 16 of the team's 19 games with one goal and two assists.

Both Gimena and Foley were named to the All-Academic team for the second times in their career. Gimena earned the honor in 2022, while Foley was also on the team in 2021. Gimena is majoring in International Business, while Foley is working on his master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

The Rattlers finished the season with an 8-5-6 overall record and advanced to the Quarterfinals of the Lone Star Conference.
