SAN ANTONIO — The College Sports Communicators announced the 2025 Men's Soccer Academic All-District teams on Tuesday, and St. Mary's University had four student-athletes honored for their efforts both on the pitch and in the classroom.

Senior defender Luke Mulkey (Parker, Texas) was named to the team for the third-straight season, while senior goalkeeper Johnny Thurbin (Lingfield, Surrey, England) earns his second-straight award, and senior Enzo Jaques (Porto Alegre, RS, Brazil) and sophomore Jamie Thompson (Insch, Scotland) were honored for the first time in their careers.

Mulkey was also honored on the Lone Star Conference All-Academic team and was a Third-Team All-Conference pick. A marketing major, Mulkey started every game for the Rattlers each of the last two seasons and tied for the team lead in scoring in 2025 with five points, scoring two goals and recording an assist.

Thurbin is concluding his degree in finance & risk management. He is a two-time Lone Star All-Academic selection and wraps up his career ranked fifth in St. Mary's history with 138 saves, tied for second in goals against average (1.01), third in wins (19) and second with 16 shutouts.

Jaques, a senior computer science major, played in 36 games and started in 15 in his two years with the Rattlers. He tied Mulkey for the team lead with five points this season, putting 10 of his 33 shots on goal in his final campaign.

Thompson is also pursuing a degree in finance & risk management. He played in 17 games this season, starting three, and recorded an assist against Western Oregon. Four of his nine shots were on frame, giving him seven shots on goal in two years.

This marks the first time in St. Mary's history that the Rattlers have had four soccer student-athletes named to the Academic All-District team. Each of the last two years, a trio of Rattlers have been honored, and in 2023, Cian Foley became the first Academic All-American, garnering Second Team honors.
