DENTON, Texas – The St. Mary's STUNT team traveled north to Denton to take on Texas Woman's in an exhibition contest on Sunday afternoon and the Rattlers pulled off a 13-12 victory in the first-ever competition for the Gold & Blue.

St. Mary's trailed 2-1 after the first quarter, partner stunts, but entered halftime tied at 4-4, earning three points during pyramids and tosses. The Rattlers took an 11-10 lead – scoring seven points in the group jumps and kept the one-point lead through the fourth quarter, with each team scoring two points during the team performance.

"It was an amazing feeling to finally see them take the mat in a game as a team after all this time," said Head Coach
Jordan VanTimmeren. "It was even better to see their hard work over the last six months pay off and take the win!"

The regular season for the Rattlers begins at the DBU Tournament, Feb. 16-18. The team faces, host DBU, William Jessup, Oklahoma Baptist and UT Tyler in games over the three days.
