• St. Mary's has qualified for its second-straight Lone Star Conference Tournament, earning the seventh seed. The Rattlers will play St. Edward's for the third-straight game after sweeping their rival in the regular season finale.
• The Rattlers are back in the receiving votes category in the national rankings after not appearing in the previous three polls. There are six other Lone Star teams in the top 25.
• St. Mary's went 1-1 at the 2021 LSC Tournament, defeating Cameron in the opening round, 6-1 before falling to top-seeded Oklahoma Christian in game two.
• St. Mary's is 6-10 this season against teams ranked in the top 25 in the country.
• Senior Tiffany Licon is one of the hardest hitters in the nation to strike out. She currently is second in the Lone Star Conference and is 14th nationally, striking out once every 35.2 at bats.
• Freshman Savannah Youngblood is currently tied for the Lone Star Conference lead and ranks sixth in St. Mary's single season history with her four saves. Her total also ties her for ninth in the nation.
• Senior Abigale Carney leads the Rattlers with 10 home runs, needing one more to tie her career-high of 11 from a season ago. One more would also knot Carney for fourth on the school's career charts.
• The Rattlers are outscoring opponents 85-27 in the first two innings of games this season and are 29-9 when they score first.
• Not only did head coach Donna Fields win the 1,000th game of her career this season, but she's led the program to its 1,400th victory.
• The Rattlers have played clean softball this season, ranking second in the conference and 10th in the nation in fielding percentage at .975. StMU has half as many errors as its opponents, committing 36 compared to 71 by its foes.
