TAKING THE PITCH
After back-to-back wins to begin the home stand, your St. Mary's Rattlers host undefeated LSC opponent, No. 12 Angelo State this Wednesday, September 22nd at the Sigma Beta Chi field. This will be the third consecutive game played at home for the Rattlers who are looking to keep their winning streak alive. 

Angelo State has clean record with five consecutive wins to open their 2021 season. The Belles are fresh off a 7-0 pummeling of New Mexico Highlands on Saturday. Angelo State is the last remaining undefeated team in the Lone Star Conference.

The Rattlers and the Belles have long and tenured history on the soccer pitch. The Belles own a 11-9-1 series advantage, but not without several close calls. The Rattlers last pushed Angelo State to the brink, falling 1-0 in their last meeting.

RATTLER STORYLINES
-Junior Ejere returns to the pitch after she was named Lone Star Conference Offensive Player of the Week. Ejere earned top billing in the conference after scoring a pair of goals against Western Colorado on Friday evening.

-St. Mary's defeated DI opponent Texas Southern on Sunday and bring a fresh wave of momentum into their meeting with ASU.

-The last time the Rattlers defeated the Belles was in 2007. The final score was 4-1.


SCOUTING ANGELO STATE

-The Belles have beat the Rattlers in the last seven matchups.

-Angelo State has recently had one of their own, Gabby Villagrand, be called up to play with Panama's National Team and will not be present for Wednesday's game.

-Belle Goalie, Kira Miller, has had a total of 13 saves this season.

UP NEXT
The Rattlers will be off to Denton, Texas this Saturday to play against Texas Woman's Pioneers at 1 p.m.
