TAKING THE PITCH
The Rattlers eagerly return home to host Midwestern State in a match scheduled for Saturday at 5 p.m. The Rattlers and Mustangs have not met on the field since 2019.
St. Mary's is coming home after a tough loss in the Battle of the Saints against St. Edward's University. Both teams fought all the way to overtime, where St. Edward's scored in the first minute. Given the current record for the Rattlers, being back home will surely ignite their fire towards victory once more.
MSU will be visiting San Antonio after a powerful win against Eastern New Mexico this past Wednesday. The Mustangs took the match by a 3-0 margin and are riding a wave of momentum as they head to Sigma Beta Chi Field.
RATTLER STORYLINES
- The last time these squads met, the Rattlers claimed a victory at the Sigma Beta Chi Field.
- St. Mary's has won three out of four home games this season.
- Rattler El Paso natives Jackie Miller and Love' Tovar both had a shot on goal on Wednesday, but were unable to find the back of the net in the shutout.
