Women's Basketball Takes 5-Game Win Streak on the Road to Lubbock Christian and Angelo State

SAN ANTONIO – The St. Mary's University Women's Basketball team extended its win streak to five games last week and hits the road this week for games at Lubbock Christian and Angelo State.

The Rattlers lost their first four games against the Lady Chaps in 2014, but then picked up a pair of wins in 2015 and 2016. LCU won both matchups last season. 

The Rattlers lost the first matchup against the Rams in 2006, but then won three in a row. St. Mary's leads the all-time series 7-4, including the meeting in San Angelo last season.

Alexia Torres leads the team in total assists with 78, while Hannah Wilson leads in rebounds with 137. 
 
On the defensive end, Jessica Barbosa leads the team in steals with 22 and Hannah Wilson in blocks with 19. 

Freshman Bella Hughes dropped a career-high 23 points, including four 3-pointers, in the team's last game against Texas A&M-Kingsville.
