SAN ANTONIO — St. Mary's Softball remains ranked No. 12 in the nation according to the latest NFCA national poll, which was released Wednesday.

St. Mary's was the South Central region's second-highest ranked team, behind only No. 1 West Texas A&M, which received all 12 first-place votes.

The Rattlers (12-5) went 4-1 last week at the Rattler Invitational, overcoming an early loss with four consecutive victories.

St. Mary's enters Heartland Conference play this week, opening up against Oklahoma Panhandle State in a doubleheader beginning at 4 p.m. Friday at the St. Mary's Softball Stadium.

Tickets are $5 for the general public, while all St. Mary's faculty, staff, students and Rattler Nation donors get in free with a valid ID. The series will be broadcast live on the Rattler Network on RattlerAthletics.com
