SAN ANTONIO — The Softball Stadium was brightly highlighted on Neon Night as fans decked out in neon cheered on the Rattlers who donned their own neon on the field, but it was Angelo State who shined a little brighter, taking Tuesday's doubleheader.

The No. 11 Rambelles (33-9) won a comeback in Game 1, crawling back from a 6-1 deficit to win it 7-6 and claimed a shutout in Game 2, 5-0.

The doubleheader loss dropped the Rattlers to 40-7 on the season with Emily Brittain (Sr., Corpus Christi, Texas) picking up the loss in Game 1 and Maricela Bissario the loss in Game 2.

Game 1 saw the Rattlers gain a heavy lead over Angelo State as they put up a two-spot in the second and four-spot in the third with three Rattlers earning the team's RBIs.

Nicole Sardelich (Jr., Angleton, Texas), Taylor Vidrine (Jr., San Antonio) and Daniele Nash (Jr., San Antonio) all recorded two RBI in Game 1 with Sardelich and Vidrine each batting 1,000, going 2 for 2 and 4 for 4, respectively.

The Rambelles answered back by recording three-run innings in each of their final two at-bats.

The No. 5 Rattlers' 10 hits in Game 1 fizzled by Game 2, as the Snakes were only able to produce one hit for game while the Rambelles smacked for 12 including a two-run homer.

St. Mary's gets back to Heartland Conference play, which it is currently undefeated at 15-0, in a three-game series against Oklahoma Christian starting with a doubleheader at 2 p.m. Sunday inside The Park at St. Mary's.
