CLAREMORE, Okla. — The No. 7-ranked St. Mary's Softball team continued conference play against the Rogers State Hillcats on Friday, sweeping the doubleheader.
Taking the first game 8-1, the Rattlers were also victorious in the nightcap, winning 2-0.
With the victories, St. Mary's notched its 30
th victory of the season, improving their conference record to 8-0. The win marks 12 consecutive victories for the Rattlers, who have now won 26 of their last 27 games.
In the opener,
Vianna Gutierrez (Jr., San Antonio) had another stellar outing, throwing seven complete innings, only allowing
one run for her 10th win of the season.
Gutierrez did work offensively as well with two RBIs, including a home run to center field at the top of the sixth inning.
Along with Gutierrez, homers from

Katie Nichols (R-Sr., San Marcos, Texas) helped seal game one for the Rattlers.
