AVONDALE, Ariz. — Two tournaments, two top-10 finishes for St. Mary's
Allison Howarth.
The sophomore transfer turned in her second top-10 finish in as many tournaments for the Rattlers' women's golf team, tying for seventh at the Western New Mexico Fall Intercollegiate on Tuesday.
Howarth, a San Antonio native, fired a 4-over-par 76 to finish the tournament at 151, just four strokes behind first-place finishers Audra Kepler and Arinda Bhanaraksa of CSU-Monterey Bay.
Chico State took the team title with a score of 613, while St. Mary's climbed up the leaderboard in Tuesday's final round to finish 11
th after beginning the day tied for 14
th. The Rattlers shot 645 for the tournament.

Bailey Furgeson shaved six shots off her score in the second round, carding a 77 Tuesday to finish tied for 37
th place at 160. Furgeson was one of three Rattlers to perform better on Day 2, as
Heather Wedige and
Daryn Petermann combined to trim 12 strokes off their first-round scores.
The Rattlers will take a week off before traveling to Canyon, Texas for the West Texas A&M Lady Buffaloes beginning Oct. 7.
