ABLIENE, Texas — Having little time to recoup after a stellar triple-overtime win on Thursday, the Lady Rattlers pounded again on Saturday with an 11-point victory over McMurry University.

A seven-point deficit at half was obliterated in the second with St. Mary's defeating McMurry 61-50 to end the season series 2-0, both being won by over 10 points by the Rattlers.

The Rattlers (18-6, 9-2 in conference) played five-strong with its starting lineup of Jackie Woods (Jr., San Antonio), Liz Boyd (Sr., San Antonio), Felicia Jacobs (Sr., San Antonio), Morgan Pullins (So., Franklin, Mich.) and Mariah Lee (Jr., Houston) recording over 30 minutes of play each. All performed as needed with nearly all five breaking double-digits.

Woods led with 18 points while Pullins brought in a double-double with 12 points and 10 boards. Boyd, Jacobs and Lee all chipped in nine points apiece. Jacobs led with six steals and recorded three assists along with Woods and Boyd.

The War Hawks' (9-13) lead at the half, 32-25, was their largest of the game with St. Mary's breaking a tight game with six minutes remaining in the game. The Rattlers doubled the War Hawks' scoring in the final frame 36-18. St. Mary's shot 50 percent in the second (11-22), improving from 26 percent in the first half.

The Rattlers are a game out of first place in the Heartland Conference, trailing the University of Texas-Permian Basin with only one league game remaining, which will be played against Texas A&M International University in the last game of the regular season.

But first St. Mary's must protect its home court one last time in the regular season with a matchup against provisional conference member Oklahoma Christian University, which defeated the Rattlers in their first look, Saturday at Bill Greehey Arena at 2 p.m.
