Robert Coleman has removed the interim tag for pitching coach
Zach Diaz.
Diaz worked with the pitching staff, helping them rank second in the Lone Star Conference and 40th in the nation, allowing only 4.08 walks per nine innings. They also ranked third in the LSC and 42nd nationally with a 1.52 WHIP and were 32nd among Division II with a 2.01 strikeout-to-walk ratio.
Gabe Cook and
Edward Mendoza both received All-Region honors, and the team ranked as high as 15th in the national polls during the 2025 campaign.
Diaz graduated from McNeese State in 2022 after helping the Cowboys to a pair of Southland Conference Championships, and enters the 2026-27 season with high expectations for the Rattlers.
