INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The No. 22 St. Mary's University Baseball team has earned the four seed at the NCAA South Central Regional and will travel to Grand Junction, Colo., to compete in a regional with No. 1 Colorado Mesa and Lubbock Christian. The Rattlers (38-17) will rematch with Lubbock Christian (34-21), which knocked StMU out of the Lone Star Conference Tournament, in the opening game, while the winner will face the top-ranked Mavericks.
This is the Rattlers' seventh appearance in the NCAA South Central Regional and the first since 2015, which also took place in Grand Junction.
The winners of both double-elimination South Central Regionals (the other is at UT Tyler, featuring Angelo State and MSU Denver) will compete in the NCAA South Central Region Super Regional Championship, scheduled for May 21-23. The NCAA National Championships are set to take place in Cary, North Carolina, from May 29 to June 6.
