• The Rattlers are looking for their first-ever win against Lubbock Christian, and are 0-3 all-time against the Chaps. This will be the third meeting in Lubbock. St. Mary's is 11-2 in the series against UT Permian Basin with a 4-1 record in Odessa. Last year, the Rattlers won 4-3 against the Falcons.
• After completing the five-match road series, the Rattlers return home for their final home match of 2026, hosting Midwestern State on Senior Day on April 19. The team will honor Aaron Ben Anton, Bernhard Hauer and Fabian Rosales.
• The 12-3 start to the season for the Rattlers ties the best 15-match start in school history, matching the start of the 2020-21 and 2021-22 teams. The 2020-21 team finished 14-5, while 2021-22 was 17-7 and both advanced to the NCAA South Central Regional.
• Last week, Aaron Ben Anton (#5), Lucas Castillo Sanchez (#1) and Leonardo Fabbri (#2) all went 3-0 on the week in singles, as the Rattlers defeated Sul Ross State (7-0) and Western New Mexico twice (4-1, 4-3). In doubles play, Castillo Sanchez and Victor Velter were 2-0 at line three, as the team used six different doubles tandems during the three matches.
• Sophomore Lucas Castillo Sanchez was named the Lone Star Conference Player of the Week in back-to-back weeks on March 5 and March 12. Castillo Sanchez is 20-5 overall and 12-2 in duals this spring. He has a perfect 6-0 record at number two singles and is 6-2 at number one.
• Freshman Nikita Gavrilonoks leads with three team victory clinching wins this season, while Diego Alvarez and Leonardo Fabbri have done so twice, and five others have clinched the team win once.
• Freshman Victor Velter took over the team lead with doubles wins in the spring and is now 10-3. Velter and Lucas Castillo Sanchez are 7-1, while he and Ollie Eriksson are 1-1, and he and Florian Smalto are 2-1. Castillo Sanchez is second on the team with nine doubles victories.
