Castillo Sanchez Named LSC Singles Player of the Week

RICHARDSON, Texas – St. Mary's University sophomore Lucas Castillo Sanchez remained unbeaten on the season, winning No. 2 singles matches against No. 18 Nebraska Kearney and No. 30 Augustana to be named the Lone Star Conference Singles Player of the Week for the first time in his career.

Sanchez prevailed 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 against a nationally ranked opponent from Nebraska-Kearney, then took a 6-3, 6-3 victory against Augustana to fuel a 4-3 team win. Sanchez's play has helped the Rattlers to a 7-1 start to the season.
