BOCA RATON, Fla. — A solid second round on Monday has the No. 17 St. Mary's University Women's Golf team in fourth place after two rounds. After shooting a 311 in the opening round of the 2026 Lynn Invite at Boca Woods, the Rattlers shaved 19 strokes off for a 292 the second time through the course to move up three spaces on the leaderboard.
Four of the five golfers shot better in the second of three rounds, and both
Sophia Perkins (Sydney, Australia) and
Taylor Wilczek (Anthem, Ariz.) are currently in the top 10 on the individual leader page.
Perkins, a sophomore, tallied a round of 75 in the morning and took four strokes off that for a 71 in the afternoon and into a tie for fourth place. The 71 ties the lowest round of her career, and it is the third time she's posted it this season.
Wilczek, a junior, recorded the third-lowest round of the tournament with a 70 in the afternoon, vaulting up the leaderboard into a tie for sixth after starting the day with a 77.
Sophomore
Sabree Lefebvre (Riverview, Fla.) was the biggest mover for the Rattlers, taking nine strokes off her first round to card a 74 in round two and move into a tie for 44th place with teammate
Manon Verret (Toulouse, France). Verret shot rounds of 80 and 77 on Monday.
Sophomore
Brielle Burns (Houston) is two strokes behind her teammates after collecting 159 strokes on the day (79-80).
Nova Southeastern leads the field at +14, holding a two-stroke lead over DBU, and they are 13 shots ahead of the Rattlers in fourth. Ella Cheek from DBU is the only player under par after two rounds (71, 69), and she has a five-shot lead over Grand Valley State's Evelyn Park and Barry's Tereza Zavrelova.
The Rattlers will be paired with Tampa and Florida Southern on Tuesday for the shotgun start beginning at 8:45 a.m. on holes four through seven.
