No. 17 Women's Golf Faces Tough Test at Lynn Invitational

•    The St. Mary's Women's Golf team will conclude the regular season at the Lynn Invitational in Boca Raton. It is the second straight tournament in Florida for the Rattlers.

•    This marks the first time in school history the Rattlers have competed in the Lynn Invitational, and the first time they have ever competed at the Boca Woods Country Club.

•    The Rattlers have finished in the top four in each of the first four tournaments of the spring, and are currently ranked fourth in the NCAA Regional rankings.

•    Four of the seven golfers have posted a career low tournament in one of the last two tournaments, as Abbey Anderson (230) and Gladys Taboada (226) both shot career lows at the Rattler Invitational, while Brielle Burns (215) and Manon Verret (220) both went low at the Emerald Coast Collegiate.

•    Sophomore Sabree Lefebvre recorded the 100th birdie of her career at the Emerald Coast Collegiate, and now has 102 in her second season. Fellow sophomore Sophia Perkins needs eight more to hit the same milestone.

•    Sophomore Sabree Lefebvre was named the Lone Star Conference Golfer of the Week after her eighth place finish at the Texas State Invitational. She finished one under par at 215 (73-70-72), taking 11 strokes off her previous 54-hole tournament best.

•    The field for the Lynn Invitational is #7 Barry, #2 DBU, #20 Eckerd, #15 Florida Southern, #12 Grand Valley State, Keiser, (host) #6 Lynn, #10 Nova Southeastern, #RV Palm Beach Atlantic, #19 Rollins, #22 Saint Leo, #17 St. Mary's, and #16 Tampa.

•    The Rattlers lineup for the Rattler Invitational is 1) Taylor Wilczek, 2) Brielle Burns, 3) Sabree Lefebvre, 4) Manon Verret and 5) Sophia Perkins.

 •    Skies are supposed to be cloudy with morning showers likely on Tuesday. Highs will be around 80 with winds from the East at 15 mph and humidity in the mid-to-high 70s.

•    The Rattlers are ranked No. 17 in the WGCA Poll that was released on March 20. Lone Star Conference foe and defending national champion, DBU is second, while UT Tyler is 5th, and Midwestern State is 24th. Wingate continues to rank atop the poll with 15 of the 17 first-place votes.

•    After the conclusion of the fall semester, six Rattlers were named to the Lone Star Commissioner's Honor Roll, with Brielle Burns recording a perfect 4.00 GPA for the semester. Abbey Anderson, Sabree Lefebvre, Sophia Perkins, Manon Verret and Taylor Wilczek were also named to the team.
