RICHARDSON, Texas – The Lone Star Conference expanded its weekly awards in the offseason to include a doubles team of the week in both men's and women's tennis, and the St. Mary's University tandem of
Gia Posito and
Selina Wu has won the inaugural award.
Posito, a senior from Houston, and Wu, a junior from San Gabriel, Calif., are off to a 5-0 record in No. 1 doubles, including a win over NCAA Division I Eastern Washington. Posito and Wu topped the Eastern Washington duo 6-2 to begin the season. Two of their five victories were 6-0 results. Their play, which included going unbeaten in singles, has led the No. 12-ranked Rattlers to a 4-1 record.
Posito was named the final Player of the Week for the 2025 season, and both were named to the All-Conference honorable mention doubles team a season ago.
