CORINTH, Texas — After a three-hour delay to begin the first day of the 2025-26 season, the No. 12 St. Mary's University Women's Golf team is tied for sixth place at the DBU Women's Fall Classic at the Oakmont Country Club.

The Rattlers shot a 295 (+7) over 18 holes and will begin at 8 a.m. on Tuesday for a 36-hole day. StMU is tied with No. 10 Central Missouri, while host DBU, ranked No. 1 in the nation, leads the field with a 284 (-4). No. 17 UT Tyler (292/+4), Arkansas Tech (293/+5), #22 Midwestern State (294/+6) and #16 North Georgia (294/+6) round out the top five in the tightly contested tournament.

Manon Verret (Toulouse, France) entered her first collegiate clubhouse in a seven-way tie for fourth place after firing a 71 (-1). She is three shots off the lead, held by DBU's Madison Ude (68/-4). Verret currently leads the 83-player field in par-3 scoring, coming in at -2, and she collected five birdies on the day, with three coming on the back nine.

Taylor Wilczek (Surprise, Ariz.) sits in a nine-way tie for 21st place after shooting a 73 (+1), while sophomore transfer
Brielle Burns (Houston) is one stroke behind Wilczek in a 10-way tie for 30th place at 74 (+2).

Abbey Anderson (Austin, Texas), competing as an individual, turned in a round of 75 (+3) in her first collegiate action and is tied for 41st place.

Sophia Perkins (Sydney, Australia) struggled a bit over the final three holes but is in a great position to move up the leaderboard after shooting a 77 (+5), as is sophomore
