During the summer, St. Mary's athletics will be bringing you "Fangside Chats: Getting to Know" profiles of our head coaches to shine a light on who they are outside of their sport.

We sat down with Director of Tennis Bill Macom to find out more about his life away from the courts. Macom is beginning his seventh year at St. Mary's. He has 638 victories in his career between men's and women's tennis and is five wins shy of 100 with the Rattlers. He was named the Lone Star Women's Tennis Coach of the Year in 2025 after leading the team to a share of the regular season title.
