SAN ANTONIO —St. Mary's University had 16 student-athletes from men's and women's tennis named to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athlete teams, and both squads earned All-Academic Team status, the coaches group announced Tuesday.

This is the 14th consecutive season the two teams have earned the prestigious status, and the 16th time overall the teams have appeared on the list. To earn scholar-athlete status, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.5 GPA for both semesters and be eligible for the entire season. To garner team status, the Rattlers had to have a minimum of 3.2, and all letterwinners must factor into the cumulative GPA.

The Men's honorees are Aaron Ben Anton (Remseck, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany), Lincoln Baldonado (Glendale, Ariz.), Rene Barbier (Tigre, Buenos Aires, Argentina), Lucas Castillo Sanchez (Wesley Chapel, Fla.), Pierre Copin (Vidauban, Var, France), Leonardo Fabbri (Faenza, Italy), Ian Friere (Guatemala City, Guatemala), Bernhard Hauer (Vienna, Austria), Louis Hein (Hamburg, Germany), Justin Koth (Boerne, Texas), Daniel Matheu Baldor (Madrid, Spain), and Alvaro Soler (Alicante, Spain).
