NET POINTS

•    The St. Mary's Men's Tennis team continues its month-long road trip, facing its third straight nationally-ranked team in #8 UT Tyler on Thursday before playing at DBU on Saturday afternoon. The time at UT Tyler has been moved to 9 a.m. to accomodate alumni weekend festivites for the Patriots.

•    UT Tyler is the sixth opponent to appear in the ITA National Rankings, and the second opponent in three matches to be ranked in the top-10. The Rattlers are 2-3 this season against nationally-ranked teams, with victories over then-#25 Ferris State and last week at #34 UT Permian Basin.

•    The Rattlers are looking for their first-ever win against UT Tyler, as the Patriots have won the first six meetings since the two teams joined the Lone Star Conference. On the flip side, the Rattlers have only lost to DBU once, posting a 20-1 all-time record. StMU has won 14 in a row and is a perfect 4-0 since the two clubs joined the Lone Star.

•    Freshman Lucas Castillo Sanchez is 3-1 in Lone Star Conference play this season with two of his three wins coming in shutout fashion. He didn't drop a single game against either Sul Ross State or UT Permian Basin at line two and won 6-1, 6-3 vs. Western New Mexico. His lone loss is in three-sets to #15 Pablo Segura from Lubbock Christian.

•    The duo of freshman Lucas Castillo Sanchez and senior transfer Pierre Copin are a perfect 4-0 in Lone Star Conference doubles action. The pair knocked off No. 27 Mattia Ghedin and Marco Seccia from Lubbock Christian for the Rattlers' lone victory against the fifth-ranked Chaps. It is the team's first win over a nationally-ranked doubles team in 2025.

•    Alvaro Soler's win on Saturday marked his 13th in LSC Conference play in his career, moving him into a tie for fifth in StMU history. He needs two more conference wins to tie Jeremiah Sanchez for the all-time mark of 15 conference wins (2017-21).

•    The game time for the regular-season finale at Midwestern State was recently announced. The two teams will take the court at 2 p.m. on April 26.
