SAN ANTONIO — The No. 10 St. Mary's University STUNT team stretched its win streak to five consecutive with a pair of home wins against Lone Star Conference foes St. Edward's (10-1) and Texas A&M-Kingsville (21-5) on Wednesday night.

The three seniors on the roster, Helena Griffith (Houston), Allysin Quintanilla (San Juan, Texas) and Amanda Urrutia (El Paso, Texas), were all honored between the games for their contributions to the STUNT program over the past three seasons.

In the modified format game against St. Edward's, the Rattlers (7-3, 5-2) won the first 10 points before the Hilltoppers (2-10, 0-6) snagged the final point of the night for the 10-1 final. Seven of the eight routines were called between 1-4, with the lone exception coming in the first round of the third quarter as the Hilltoppers selected #5 and then forfeited, hoping to get a no-points situation, but the Rattlers nailed the routine to earn the point and take a 4-0 advantage.

The win gives StMU the sweep over SEU and earns a point in the yearly Battle of the Saints. St. Mary's holds a 5-1 lead in the yearly battle and ensures a season win for the Rattlers, with only baseball and softball remaining to be decided.
