NET POINTS

•    The St. Mary's Men's Tennis team hosts its final three home matches of the 2025 season, hosting No. 14 Harding on Wednesday, Western New Mexico on Friday and Sul Ross State on Sunday in Lone Star Conference action, with the annual Alumni Game sandwiched between them, on Saturday at 11 a.m.

•    The Rattlers are riding a two-match winning streak after finishing the Spring Break trip with wins over Palm Beach Atlantic (5-0) and #25 Ferris State (5-2). StMU also battled tough against then-#21 Florida Southern, dropping a 4-3 decision.

•    Wednesday will be the first-ever match against Harding. The Rattlers hold a 9-1 advantage in the series against Western New Mexico, winning eight straight, dating back to 2015, and the team is 1-0 against Sul Ross State, playing for the first time a season ago.

•    On Friday, the Rattlers will honor the four seniors on the roster in Pierre Copin, Ian Freire, Daniel Matheu Baldor and Alvaro Soler.

•    The win over Ferris State on March 14 was the first victory over a nationally-ranked team since April 10, 2021, when the Rattlers defeated #22 Cameron, 4-3 in a Lone Star Conference match.

•    The Rattlers are 2-3 all-time in Lone Star Conference openers and this is the first time StMU has played Western New Mexico in the first league match of the year. They are the sixth different team the Gold and Blue have faced in the opener (Arkansas Fort-Smith, Midwestern State, St. Edward's, UT Permian Basin, and UT Tyler).

•    Senior Alvaro Soler is currently on a three-match winning streak in singles, the longest active stretch on the team. Soler is 6-2 in duals, one off the top mark of 7-2 by freshman Lucas Castillo Sanchez. Soler is 5-0 at number two and 1-2 at number three singles, while Castillo Sanchez sports  a 4-1 mark at number three and 3-1 at number four.
