DALLAS —St. Mary's University senior
Lachlan Bofinger capped an incredible two-year career on the Men's Basketball team by earning NCAA South Central Region All-Tournament team honors on Tuesday after the conclusion of the Regional Final game, which saw host DBU defeat Colorado School of Mines, 100-79.
Bofinger, a senior forward from Sydney, Australia, scored 29 points in the Rattlers' two games in the NCAA Tournament, and added 16 rebounds, three assists and two steals. It was the team's first appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 10 years, as they defeated Lubbock Christian 67-61 in the First Round before falling 66-63 to the Orediggers in the Regional Semifinals.
Joining Bofinger on the team were Cameron Kahn (MOP) and Trevor Frank from DBU, as well as Markus Pastorcic-Straun and Alex Romack from Colorado School of Mines.
Bofinger becomes only the third player in St. Mary's history to be named to the All-Tournament team, joining Kevin Kotzur and Daryell Taylor from 2012-13.
