NET POINTS

•    The St. Mary's Men's Tennis team returns to action after a three-week layover caused by Mother Nature. The Rattlers host Our Lady of the Lake on Friday at 11 a.m., for Alumni Day.

•    Friday is supposed to be partly cloudy with highs near 80 in San Antonio. There is no chance of precipitation and winds will be out of the Southeast at 5-6 miles per hour.

•    The Rattlers have had four matches canceled this spring due to weather or illness. To help make up for the cancellations, the team has added Eastern Florida State on March 11 and Harding on March 26. The first will be part of the club's Spring Break trip, while the second will be a home match.

•    Four Rattlers are a perfect 3-0 in singles action this spring in Lincoln Baldonado, Lucas Castillo Sanchez, Leonardo Fabbri and Alvaro Soler. Castillo Sanchez and Fabbri are also 3-0 in doubles play, winning once at number one and twice at two.

•    St. Mary's is 11-3 all-time against Our Lady of the Lake dating back to the first meeting in 2009. The Saints have won the last two meetings, winning 4-3 in both 2023 and 2024.

•    Senior Alvaro Soler and freshman Lucas Castillo Sanchez were tabbed as Lone Star Conference Players to Watch. Soler was 7-2 during the fall season, while Castillo Sanchez was 4-5 in his first semester.

•    The Rattlers return six letterwinners off last season's team that was 6-10 overall and 3-5 in Lone Star action.

•    Sophomore Louis Hein led the team in wins during the fall tournament season, posting a record of 8-4, while seniors Daniel Matheu Baldor and Alvaro Soler were 7-2 for the best winning percentage. Matheu Baldor won the green bracket of the UIW Tournament to end the fall on a three-match winning streak. He defeated a pair of Division I players en route to the title.
