SHAWNEE, Okla. — The No. 10 St. Mary's University STUNT Team split day two of the Oklahoma Baptist Tournament, defeating No. 17 Southern Nazarene, 19-3, before dropping a close 16-11 decision to #3 Maryville.
The Rattlers are now 2-2 on the young season and have next week off from competition before heading to the TWU Tournament on Feb. 28-Mar. 1 where they will face Texas Woman's, Texas A&M-Kingsville, Centenary and St. Edward's.
GAME ONE RECAP
The Rattlers and Crimson Storm competed in routines 1-4 throughout the four quarters, with the Rattlers winning three of the four outright in both the first and second quarters, building a 6-1 lead at halftime.
After the break, StMU won the first two routines and tied with SNU on routine three before winning 1 for the 10-2 advantage. In the fourth quarter, StMU won all three points in routine 4, one in 3, all three in 1 and finished with two of the three in 2 for the 19-3 win.

GAME TWO RECAP
The two teams took on a much wider variety of routines, as teams selected from 1-through-7. The Rattlers earned their point in the first period via a tie on level six. During pyramids and tosses, StMU won level 4 and tied during routine 1 to make the score 7-3 at halftime.
The Rattlers came out and hit level 7 in jumps and tumbling after the break, then nailed routine six on their next choice to end the third quarter tied 2-2. Maryville edged out StMU in the fourth quarter, earning seven points to the Rattlers six.
