Esports Continues Strong Start to Spring

SAN ANTONIO — The St. Mary's University Esports team came off a great opening week and continued to keep their streak alive with another three wins in ECAC play. 
 
Valorant started the week with a win against Elmira College. Rocket League gained more momentum with another win, defeating Brewton-Parker, 4-0.
 
Troy Johnson, the new Rocket League captain, said, "We've been feeling great about our gameplay. Still, we definitely need to keep a steady flow and momentum, and hopefully, we can carry it on to another championship." 
 
Call Of Duty continued its great start to the season with another 3-0 series over Keiser– Jacksonville. 
 
Victor Yacaman, the new COD manager, said after the win, "I felt confident that we were ready as a team, and we were going to win."
 
Up next, Fortnite will be playing their third week of Trios competition on Thursday, Feb.13, while Valorant will be facing Saint Joseph's on Feb. 11. Both matches are scheduled to be streamed at  https://www.twitch.tv/stmuesports
