First Pitch
•   St. Mary's hosts the final series of the 2024 regular season as Cameron comes to town for four. Sunday will be Senior Day, with festivities for the seniors beginning at 12:20 p.m.
•   The Rattlers and Aggies have both been eliminated from Lone Star Tournament contention. StMU does hold a 13-1 lead in the all-time series as the teams had never met before the Rattlers joining the Lone Star Conference.Â
•   Senior CF RJ Galvan had his streak of 31 games of reaching base safely snapped at Eastern New Mexico last week. It is the longest streak of the year for a Rattler and the longest since Derek Mueller reached in 37 straight back in 2021.
•   The three StMU catchers have combined to catch 20 attempted base stealers. It is the most since the 2022 team threw out 21 would-be thieves. The school's record is 44 by the 2001 team. Devin Goins has caught 10, Easton Parrish eight and freshman Dillon Lopez has thrown out two in limited time behind the plate.
•   In four of his last five starts, sophomore Kaleb Gauna has surrendered three or fewer earned runs. He is 4-1 in his last five starts and has lowered his ERA to 6.94 from 10.89 during that stretch.
•   Senior RP Andrew Girod enters his final weekend of play with the Rattlers with 14 saves, which ranks third in St. Mary's history. The senior also has seven victories and has had an ERA under 3.00 each of the last two years.
•   The seniors who will be recognized on Sunday are Brett Brown, Matt Bundy, RJ Galvan, Andrew Girod, Devin Goins, Karlo Kalifa, Justin Ortega, Easton Parrish, Rudy Solis and Tom Symonds.
