Baseball Two-Hit in Game One at Lubbock Christian

LUBBOCK, Texas — Hits were at a premium for the St. Mary's University Baseball team on Friday afternoon at Lubbock Christian as they were two-hit in an 11-0 loss.

Senior Aydan Alger surrendered only two singles – one each by senior RJ Galvan (San Antonio) and senior Rudy Solis (El Paso, Texas) – and he struck out five and walked two in the series opening win.

Senior Javier De Alejandro (San Antonio) was handed the loss (0-3), though he only surrendered one earned run. Eight total runs scored on five hits with three walks and several errors. San Antonio natives Cameron Hodges and Ryan Romine also worked in relief.

The Chaps (14-7) win their sixth straight, while the Rattlers (9-10, 7-10 Lone Star Conference) snap a four-game winning streak of their own. The two teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday with game one scheduled for a 1 p.m. start.
