•   The St. Mary's Men's Tennis team remains home for week two in Lone Star Conference play as they host a pair of Patriots in UT Tyler and DBU. UT Tyler is ranked #20 in the ITA Poll, while the Rattlers are looking to snap a three-match losing skid.
•   St. Mary's is searching for its first-ever win over UT Tyler, as the Patriots have won the first four meetings. The Rattlers hold a 17-1 advantage in the all-time series with DBU and are 6-0 all-time at Rohrbach against the Patriots.
•   Both Aaron Ben Anton and Oskar Irdoja are 2-0 in Lone Star Conference play. Anton won in straight sets against both Midwestern State and Lubbock Christian at number five, while Irdoja won both in straight sets with a tiebreaker in the opening set against Lubbock Christian. Irdoja is ranked #72 in the nation this week.
•   The tandem of Nicolas Llosa and Alvaro Soler climbed to 17th in the nation after an upset win over then-#7 Luis Diaz and Stephen Slocombe from Midwestern State. It is the second win over a top-10 opponent for the pair as they also defeated then-#4 Alex Blanchard and Phil Exner from Oklahoma Baptist.
•   Director of Tennis Bill Macom won the 600th combined match of his career in Arlington over the weekend. Forty-seven of those wins come with the StMU Men's Tennis team, while 70 are with the Women's team in his fifth year at StMU.
•   Several Rattlers are climbing the career doubles duals victories charts in school history. Nicolas Llosa is seventh all-time with 43 wins, tying Matt Banner (2012-15). Jake Faryniarz is 11th with 36.Â
•   Nicolas Llosa is also tied for sixth on the career singles wins chart with 38, knotting Carlos Olea (2011-14). Oskar Irdoja passed Bojan Popovic (2016-20) for eighth with his 31 victories and Alvaro Soler is 12th with 25 wins.
•   Seniors Alvaro Soler and Oskar Irdoja were both named Players to Watch by the Lone Star Conference. The pair were both honored on the Lone Star All Conference team a season ago, with Soler named to the All-Academic, All-Sportsmanship and the All-Conference First Team, while Irdoja was All-Academic and an honorable mention pick.
•   The Rattlers earned the ITA South Central Region Community Service Award in 2023 for the first time in school history. St. Mary's volunteered at the San Antonio Food Bank, with Habitat for Humanity, the Humane Society and hosted free youth clinics to name a few.
