RICHARDSON, Texas — Four home runs and 13 RBI in one week have netted St. Mary's University sophomore
Garrett Brooks the Lone Star Conference Baseball Player of the Week.Â

Brooks, a sophomore outfielder from Spring Branch, Texas, had seven hits, scored four runs and walked once to fuel wins over UAFS and Our Lady of the Lake. In the 6-2 win over UAFS, which entered the game 6-0, Brooks hit a three-run homer in the seventh inning. He had a grand slam against Our Lady of the Lake. He went deep at least once and had three RBIs in four of the five games. He also did not make an error in the field.

It is the first weekly award for the transfer and the first hitter of the week award for the Rattlers this season.

Brooks and the Rattlers host Oklahoma Christian for a four-game series beginning on Friday at 6 p.m. at Dickson Stadium.
