Cali Nims was awarded the final Setter of the Week honors by the Lone Star Conference, the league announced Monday.
Nims (Corpus Christi, Texas) earns her second weekly award of the season after directing the St. Mary's offense in a five-set win vs. Texas A&M International and a sweep of rival St. Edward's to close the regular season. She averaged 10.88 assists and 2.38 digs per set en route to the Rattlers getting the six seed in the upcoming conference tournament.
Nims posted her 16th double-double of the year in the win over TAMIU with 51 assists and 11 digs, distributing the ball well as the team hit .255. In the Battle of the Saints victory, she recorded 36 assists, eight digs, three kills, and a pair of aces.
Nims and the Rattlers open the LSC Tournament against third-seeded UT Tyler on Thursday at Noon in Canyon, Texas.
