SAN ANGELO, Texas — After wrapping up the 2024 season in the Lone Star Conference Quarterfinals, the St. Mary's University Women's Soccer team had a pair named to the All-Conference teams, as announced at the championship banquet on Thursday evening on the campus of Angelo State.
Junior midfielder
Shelby Paniagua (Cibolo, Texas) earned her second First-Team All-Conference award after leading the Rattlers with 22 points. She scored eight goals and collected six assists, kicked one game-winning goal and leads the nation with her perfect 5-for-5 in penalty kicks.
Sophomore
Malia Dominguez (Helotes, Texas) was tabbed to the Third Team after finishing second on the squad with 12 points. She collected five goals, two assists and nailed a pair of game-winners.
DBU senior midfielder Taylor Tufts claimed the Lone Star Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Year Award for the second consecutive season, while LSC champion Angelo State had the Defensive Player of the Year (sophomore Christian Clark), Goalkeeper of the Year (senior Amber Lockwood) and Coaching Staff of the Year (head coach Travis McCorckle, assistant coach Harold Munoz and graduate assistant Julia Lashlee). Oklahoma Christian senior forward Kyla Lovelace was the Forward of the Year and St. Edward's forward Annie Rocha was the Freshman of the Year. DBU junior midfielder Anne Louthan and Midwestern State junior midfielder Nyxalee Munoz shared the Newcomer of the Year Award.
The Rattlers finished the year 9-7-3 overall and 7-4-2 in Lone Star Conference play.
