RICHARDSON, Texas — For the first time this season, a St. Mary's University Women's Soccer student-athlete has earned Lone Star Conference Player of the Week honors as
Malia Dominguez was tabbed the Offensive honoree on Tuesday.
Dominguez, a sophomore from Helotes, Texas, scored three goals in two games last week, including the game-winner over Sul Ross State, and added an assist. Dominguez had a brace in the LSC opener against SRSU and an insurance goal against WT that secured the Rattlers' first win in Canyon, Texas, in nine tries. Dominguez's .714 shot accuracy ranks second in the LSC this season. It was her second multi-goal game of the year, as she also scored a pair at Regis on Sept. 14.
It is the first weekly honor for Dominguez and the first for the Rattlers this season in Women's Soccer.
Dominguez and the Rattlers head to UT Tyler on Wednesday for a 5:30 p.m. match-up.
