RICHARDSON, Texas -- For the second time this season, St. Mary's Baseball senior
Clay Bradford has been named the Lone Star Conference Hitter of the Week, though this week he shares the honors with Eduardo Acosta from Lubbock Christian.Â
Bradford went 9-for-14 with two home runs and three doubles to help the Rattlers to win three of four games against Eastern New Mexico. The Atascocita, Texas native also had seven RBIs, walked twice and scored six runs. He slugged 1.286 and had multiple hits in three of the games. Bradford also logged 3 2/3 innings on the mound, getting a no decision in a Friday night win.
Bradford was first named LSC Hitter of the Week on Feb. 28, 2023 after going 6-for-6 and hitting for the cycle in a split at Oklahoma Christian. In that week he collected two home runs, a triple, two doubles and eight RBIs. Bradford also scored six runs, stole two bases and pitched a complete game 4-2 victory.
