•   With the Oyster Bake on campus and inclement weather en route to San Antonio, the series with Eastern New Mexico has been altered. The teams will play a doubleheader at Nelson Wolff Stadium at 3 p.m. on Friday and a doubleheader at UIW's Sullivan Field on Saturday at 2 p.m.
•   Senior John Curtis was named both the Lone Star Conference and NCBWA South Central Region Pitcher of the Week after not allowing an earned run in a 4-3 10.0 inning complete game at West Texas A&M. It is the first weekly awards of his StMU career.
•   Jake Mares is in the midst of a 17-game hitting streak, the longest on the team this season. He has multiple hits in 10 of those 17 to raise his average to .352.
•   Freshman Ryan Romine got the starting nod at DH in the last three games at West Texas A&M and responded with two multi-hit games - the first two of his career - as he hit .400 (4-10) with two RBI and two walks.
•   Senior Andrew Girod is now second in the Lone Star Conference and ranks 29th nationally with his five saves. That total also is tie for sixth on the school's single season charts with John Steele (1995) and Trent Rousseau (2016).
•   The Rattlers are 10-0 this season when tied or leading after seven innings, but 0-8 when trailing through seven complete.
•   St. Mary's ranks second in the Lone Star and fifth in the nation in double plays with 38. UT Tyler is tied for the lead in DII with 41.Â
•   The Rattlers lead the LSC with 30 sacrifice bunts. Jacob King is third in LSC and 16th in nation with eight.
