RICHARDSON, Texas -- St. Mary's senior
John Curtis pitched a 10-inning complete game without allowing an earned run to get the win on the road over West Texas A&M. Curtis scattered five hits and struck out five batters in the game originally scheduled for seven innings.
The St. Mary's right-hander kept the Buffs off the board over the last four frames of the 4-3 win and they hit only .147 against him in the 10 innings. It is the third start this season Curtis has not allowed an unearned run.
It is the first weekly award for Curtis and the second by a Rattler this season as
Clay Bradford earned Hitter of the Week earlier this season.Â
