• St. Mary's wraps up the regular season hosting UT Permian Basin on Friday and Western New Mexico on Saturday. The matches are extremely important for seeding into the Lone Star Tournament as there are four teams with between one and three wins in the league.
• Saturday will be Senior Day for the Rattlers with the celebration taking place between the men's and women's matches. Sebastian Azcui and Carlos Franco will be honored. Azcui currently ranks 12th in school history with 28 doubles wins .
• St. Mary's is 10-0 all-time against UT Permian Basin and 4-0 at home. A year ago, the Rattlers won 6-1 in Odessa and both Oskar Irdoja (5) and Nicolas Llosa (6) tallied singles wins in that match.
• The Rattlers are 7-1 in the series against Western New Mexico and have won the last six over the Mustangs, including 6-1 in 2022. Jake Faryniarz, Oskar Irdoja and Nicolas Llosa all posted straight-sets wins. StMU is 2-0 at home in the series.
• Sophomore Alvaro Soler jumped to #37 in the national rankings this week. Soler appeared in the national rankings for the first time on March 8.
• Sophomore Alvaro Soler improved to 2-0 this season against nationally-ranked opponents with his straight-set win over #35 Tomas Almeida from Cameron. Soler also defeated then-#14 Martins Abamu from Lubbock Christian and was locked in a three-set battle with then-#8 Joaquin Bianchi from UT Tyler when the match ended.
• Several Rattlers are climbing the career doubles victories charts in school history. Nicolas Llosa has 41, needing one more to tie for seventh with Matt Banner (2012-15). Jake Faryniarz is 11th with 34 and Sebastian Azcui is 12th with 28 wins. Jeremiah Sanchez (2016-21) holds the career record with 66 doubles wins.
• Junior Nicolas Llosa is also seventh on the career singles wins chart with 35 and he needs three more to tie Carlos Olea (2011-14) for sixth. Junior Oskar Irdoja won four in Florida to bring his win total to 27, which moves him to ninth on the chart past Richard Foley (2013-17).
• Daniel Matheu Baldor was named the Lone Star Conference Player of the Week after the team's win over Schreiner. It was the first weekly honor of his career.
