•   St. Mary's looks to win its second-straight series at Texas A&M-Kingsville over the weekend. The Rattlers are 15-15 on the year, while the Javelinas are 19-15.
•   Seven of the nine hitters in the Rattlers lineup are hitting above .300 for the season, including Clay Bradford, who leads the team and ranks fourth in the Lone Star Conference at .420.
•   Senior Jake Mares has recorded multi-hit games in four of the last five outings, raising his average to .330. He is second on the team with 36 hits.
•   With four saves in four appearances over the last two weeks, Andrew Girod moved into a tie for eighth in St. Mary's history for saves in a season. The school record is 18 by Jonathan Perez in 2012.
•   Rudy Solis has reached base safely in each of the last 12 games for the longest active streak on the team and the third-longest stretch this year.
•   Senior Ryan McGowen was hit by a pitch twice on Tuesday against Our Lady of the Lake. He has now been plunked 53 times in his career, which is tied for second in StMU history with Weston Baros (2008-11) and is six shy of tying the record of 59 by David Nelson (2000-03).
•   Junior Easton Parrish can be counted on to play wherever is needed on the field. He has started 10 behind the plate, 15 at first base and four in right field this season. He has also hit anywhere between fourth and seventh in the lineup.
•   Senior Jake Mares is one of the toughest hitters to strike out in the Lone Star, striking out once every 13.6 at bats to rank fifth.
