• St. Mary's returns to the road for its toughest test of the season, playing at #3 Angelo State for a four-game series. The Rattlers are looking to snap a 15-game losing skid against the Rams. The Rams have been nationally-ranked in 14 of the 15 games during the streak.
• The Rattlers joined the NCBWA South Central Rankings this week at #10. StMU has split each of the last three series.
• Senior Ryan McGowen was plunked by a pitch in the finale against Lubbock Christian and has now been hit 47 times in his career. McGowen is three shy of tying for third in school history (50, John Alvarez, 2003-06).
• Freshman Jacob King has collected six multi-hit games in the last seven, raising his average to .400 on the year. During that stretch, King is hitting .500 (13-26) with seven runs scored and eight RBI.
• Clay Bradford has reached base safely in all 21 games this season, while he enjoys the longest active hitting streak for the team at 11 games.
• Senior Jake Mares broke the school career record for stolen bases with two against Our Lady of the Lake and now has 74, passing the previous record of 73 by Brandon Bippert (1998-2001).
• The Rattlers have hit 19 home runs in 21 games this season, surpassing last season's total of 18. Clay Bradford leads with six, while Brandon Broughton has four as nine different players have left the yard with a ball.
• Senior Jake Mares is one of the toughest hitters to strike out in the Lone Star Conference, striking out once every 14.8 at bats to rank fourth.
