FRISCO, Texas – At the annual banquet preceding the Lone Star Conference Basketball Championships, the St. Mary's Men's Basketball team saw a trio of athletes honored.

Seniors
Emmanuel Ewuzie (San Antonio) and
Caleb Jordan (Midlothian, Texas) were both named to the Second-Team, while junior
Tyler Caron (Longview, Texas) earned a spot on the Third-Team.

Ewuzie also grabbed a spot on the All-Defensive team after breaking the St. Mary's single season record with 54 blocked shots. He leads the Lone Star Conference and ranks 16th in the nation with 2.00 blocks per game.

Jordan earns his third all-conference nod. He was the Heartland Conference Freshman of the Year and an honorable mention selection to the Lone Star in 2020. He currently ranks sixth in school history with 1,620 points.

Caron is second on the team in scoring with 12.3 points per game and has drained 54 three-pointers and is shooting .884 from the free throw line. He has scored in double digits 16 times this season, including three over 20 points.

West Texas A&M won three of the five individual awards, with Julius Brown winning Player, Damion Thornton winning Newcomer and Zach Toussaint winning Sixth Man of the Year. Steve Webb from Angelo State earned Defensive Player of the Year and Sean Elkinton from St. Edward's is the league's Freshman of the Year.

The Rattlers face Texas A&M Kingsville at 2:30 p.m. on Friday in the quarterfinals of the Lone Star Championship.
