RICHARDSON, Texas -- The first Lone Star Conference Player of the Week award of 2023 was earned by St. Mary's sophomore
Daniel Matheu Baldor on Thursday.
After playing in only one dual last season as a freshman at #6 singles, Matheu Baldor (Madrid, Spain) jumped to #1 singles for the Rattlers this year, winning his first match 6-2, 6-2 over Carson Kirk from Schreiner. Matheu Baldor also paired with fellow Spaniard
Alvaro Soler for an 8-0 victory at #1 doubles to help the Rattlers improve to 4-0 on the season.
The Rattlers host Jacksonville on Friday and Our Lady of the Lake on Saturday.
