Box Score KERRVILLE, Texas – The St. Mary's Men's Tennis team carried over the momentum from the fall season, winning its fourth-straight dual with a 9-0 victory at Schreiner on Saturday afternoon.

Two of the three doubles teams didn't allow a point and the other posted an 8-3 win to give the Rattlers (4-0) a 3-0 advantage.Â

The Spanish sophomore duo of
Daniel Matheu Baldor (Madrid) and
Alvaro Soler (Alicante) and juniors
Sebastian Azcui (La Paz, Bolivia) and
Ryan Koth (Boerne, Texas) each won 8-0 at #1 and #3, respectively. Juniors
Jake Faryniarz (San Antonio) and
Nicolas Llosa (Lima, Peru) brought home the 8-3 win at the two-spot.

All six singles positions were won in straight sets and Llosa pitched the shutout, winning 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5.

Matheu Baldor, playing the first counting match of his career at the No. 1 spot, won 6-2, 6-2, while Soler was victorious at #2 with the score, 6-0, 6-3.

Junior
Oskar Irdoja (Tallinn, Estonia) posted identical set scores of 6-3, 6-3 in his win at #3, while Koth collected a 6-1, 6-3 victory at the fourth-ladder spot. Faryniarz dropped only three games in his 6-1, 6-2 win at #6 singles.

The Rattlers open the home portion of their schedule on Friday, Feb. 10 at 4 p.m. against Jacksonville and cross-town foe Our Lady of the Lake on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
