•   St. Mary's takes a three-game winning streak into Oklahoma City to begin a four-game series at Oklahoma Christian. The Eagles are 5-3 on the season and did not play last week.
•   Senior Jake Mares broke the school career record for stolen bases on Tuesday with two against Our Lady of the Lake and now has 74, passing the previous record of 73 by Brandon Bippert (1998-2001).
•   Junior outfielder/pitcher Clay Bradford has reached base safely in all 13 games this season, while infielder Rudy Solis enjoys the longest hitting streak of they season for the team at nine games.
•   The Rattlers have hit 13 home runs in 13 games this season, almost to last season's total of 18. Both Clay Bradford and Brandon Broughton have three as eight different players have left the yard with a ball.
•   Senior Andrew Girod has not allowed an earned run in three apperances over 8.0 innings. During that span he has struck out 11 and the opposition is hitting .161.
•   Senior Ryan McGowen has been hit three times by a pitch this season, bringing his career total to 46. With four more, McGowen will tie for third with John Alvarez (2003-06) and he is 13 shy of the record of 59 by David Nelson (2000-03).
•   St. Mary's was picked to finish eighth in the Lone Star Conference preseason poll with 203 points. The Falcons were selected 13th by the league's coaches, SIDs and media.
