SAN ANTONIO — The accolades continue to pour in for St. Mary's University sophomore midfielder
Shelby Paniagua as she was named a D2CCA Women's Soccer Second Team All-American on Wednesday.

Paniagua is the first All-American in the Division II era for the Women's Soccer team and just the fourth all-time. She has also earned Second-Team All-Region honors from the United Soccer Coaches, Lone Star All-Conference First Team and Lone Star All-Tournament team honors this season.

On the pitch, Paniagua tied for the Lone Star Conference lead with both four game-winning goals and nine goals. She was also second in assists (12) and total points (30), trailing only the South Central Region Player of the Year in DBU's Taylor Tufts.

Paniagua joins Katie Quathamer (1994), Kelly Shaughnessy (1997) and Rachel Major (3rd team, 1998) as All-Americans for St. Mary's Women's Soccer and has two years of eligibility remaining.
