RICHARDSON, Texas – Solid defensive play from libero
Alyssa Koehl helped the St. Mary's University Volleyball team tally a first-ever win vs. UT Tyler with four service aces and a match-high 22 digs. The sophomore followed with a match-best 22 digs in a four-set loss to DBU. Both opponents served at Koehl all night and she responded with a career-high 40 service receptions against UTT, recording 32 more against DBU for a plus-.925 reception percentage. The Rattler offense was boosted by Koehl's six aces in 34 serves with no errors.
It is the first-ever weekly award for Koehl and only the third for the Rattlers in the team's history in the league. She joins Alissa Tolbert (2021) and
Dallasstar Johnson (2022) as Defensive Player of the Week honorees.Â
