Jake Mares and
Clay Bradford were named Wednesday to the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) All-Baseball Region teams.

Mares, a senior shortstop from Fort Worth, Texas, earned First Team honors, while Bradford, a sophomore from Atoscocita, Texas, was named to the Second Team at the Utility/Pitcher spot.

Mares earns his second-straight All-Region selection by the D2CCA after earning Second-Team honors in 2021. He led the team with a .363 batting average, drew 35 walks and was 23-for-25 in stolen bases to rank second in the Lone Star Conference.Â

Bradford hit .352 for the season with a team-high tying four home runs and was 2-2 on the mound with 24.1 innings pitched in seven appearances. He had 21 extra base hits to tie for the team lead and tallied four outfield assists.
Mares' name will now be forwarded to the All-America ballot. The Rattlers ended the 2022 season with a 23-29 record and finished in eighth place, advancing to their second-straight Lone Star Conference Tournament.
